Nexium 24HR is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Its main function is to relieve heartburn and acid reflux. It helps the stomach and other parts of the body to digest food more effectively. Just one tablet in a day will bring the dose to 20 mg or 40 mg, whichever is higher. The lowest dose is taken at the most often for occasional relief of pain and to reduce the amount of acid the stomach can tolerate.
The drug can be used in adults and children from the age of 13 years old to treat acid reflux and heartburn. It is also used for the prevention of stomach ulcers, bleeding, and any bleeding that does happen during sex. It is used along with normal or high-calorie a meal to relieve acid reflux and heartburn.
The primary use is to treat acid reflux and heartburn. Nexium 24HR can also be used for the prevention of stomach and duodenal problems.
